Engines reverbrating, the carrier ship would soar through the night sky. The Capture Transporter had gradually slowed as it drifted deeper and deeper into Requdon's atmosphere.
Clouds had dissipated into the starships forcefields as it passed through. The pilot would glance over to the coordinates they had been closing in on,
the system finally having localized itself into the terrestial coordinates of this world. 654L, -1253M. Serry-007 would look back to the window and would analyze the vast
indigo brush below them. They were here. Pulling the central control lever, the Gizmo would have the vessel slow even further by entering parking mode,
and would guide the ship to the nearest clear space he could find.
Two days was how long the journey had taken to get to Requdon from their homeworld, Aorora. Part of why Dynoclaw was chosen for this mission was this close proximity,
of course. Just clocking the ship into 3rd Rate speed was enough for a smooth journey over to their destination. It could have easily been faster,
but the Transporter class of starships were not necessarily designed for speed, instead prioritizing cargo space and defensive capabilities to deal with the likes
of pirates and bandits. Though, since they were in the middle of a very populated part of Zacarnia Kingdom, there was not much need to worry about that. The real concern here,
was dealing with this threat that everyone had been fearing...
Project "SKY EATER".
Dynoclaw had dealt with some crazy cases over the years, but Serry could not help but wonder how this one would shape up.
It was sure to be quite the episode for sure, especially considering the data that they had been given. A high hissing sound could be heard throughout the entire ship as the
porting systems would be activated, electromagnetic pulses beaming towards the grass as they would make their gradual and safe landing.
Serry would let go of the two dual sticks used for steering and would get up from the pilots seat.
Right on cue, a towering prescense would enter the control room, adjusting his signature cape in preparation to go outside.
"About time! For a second there, I thought I was gonna die of boredom." Valryn would bellow, Shell Mask in hand. He would don it against his blue snout.
Automatically, the systems inside would activate.
"So, how do you suppose we find this thing, anyway?" he would ask.
"We're being given a signal on a microchip CALCOR had injected into her." Serry would reply. "I'll be the one tracking her"
".. Especially since I assume that if you were the one in the lead, we would immediately get lost." he'd add.
"Hey, now!" Val would chirp up, crossing his arms as his broad shoulders pushed against the cape. "I'm a pretty good navigator myself.
I might not have all those doohickeys and gadgets that you have, but natural intuition alone can get you far!" he'd state optimistically.
Serry would give an unamused look. Prior experience with him definitely challenges that.
"Alright, let's go find that Sky Eater! I've been looking forward to seeing what that thing can do. It sounds like something else, for sure!"
He would quickly turn, his cape swinging from the force. Serry would fiddle at the control panel to set the ship into resting mode. Ideally, this mission shouldn't take long...
Serry's sound processors would be able to make out something that Val muttered as he headed toward the ship's doors.
"Let's figure out... what's really going on here."
